me and my wife used to come a lot to the OSTLERS EATING HOUSE , but we have been abroad for a couple of years , when we went to visit our favorite place, we noticed that it all changed, it is now an indian restaurant, we decided to check it out since we were in the area. man what can i say, we were greeted by very polite staff, while we were waiting for our food, we thoroughly enjoyed the decor, it seems that the owners have put alot of attention to the details, very vibrant colours with drapes and lights, calming music, we were joking that if we closed our eyes we'd think we were in india. when the food was, it was exquisite. i finished my dish and what's left in my wife's :) a lot of care was taken in preparing it. verdict: i would definately go again and again.
I really enjoyed my evening at turmeric gold.specially the food & excellent service.the good thing about the place is that the food is very lite, minimum oil is used & the setting too is awsome...keep it up guys...all the best.
This restaurant really fell below expectations. Atmosphere: fantastic. really impresed by the setting. Food: average taste, nothing special here. Portions:Tiny Service: Satisfactory Price: A rough guide... £9-13 per meat dish, £5 side, £2.50 for a poppadom AND £2.50 for the pickles to go with it!!!!! thats a first!!! £2.50 Naan £3.00 Rice Wine is reasonable at £11-16 a bottle Our food (for 2 people) came to £83 with 2 bottles of wine. Not reccommended at all. I think its unfortunate they try silly money-making tactics like charging for the pickles to go with the poppadoms and shrinking portion sizes.. I shall never be going there again for this reason. A shame when the setting and location is so perfect.

An award winning restaurant that totally deserves its accolades. This really is the nicest Indian restaurant in the Midlands! Situated in the nicest part of Coventry - on Spon Street this place has a wonderful atmosphere with the friendliest staff around. There is even the chance to dine like a maharaja where you can sit legs crossed draped by Indian fabric. A great date venue!I can recommend the Lamb Coconut Chilli with Pilau Rice, the meat melts in your mouth and the portions are more than ample. For great value, great food and superb ambience, I can whole heartedly recommend this restaurant.
