    I decided that i wanted to learn German at home as oppossed to at school for my GCSE's. I was wary that it may cause me problems learning outside of the classroom, and taking the conventional GCSE exam with my other year group. The teaching technique was completely different to that at school, a one to one approach allowed me to have all the attention focused on my studies. The main emphasis, before any 'words' were learnt is understanding the grammer of German. This was invaluable, it allowed the subsequent German to be understood, and not only to recite german phrases, but understand the formation of sentences. The lessons were engaging, and not only taught the fundamentals of "how to say key phrases", but how to SPEAK the language. "This is how you say... and the reason why!" I loved my lessons, they set me up with such a huge knowledge of German in a relatively short space of time. Much above some others within my school year. It has been 6 years since i learnt German with Frau Coy, but it has stayed with me ever since. It's a testimony to her teaching that i remember the majority of it now and still use it. ( I dont remember any French).
