I sent two lighters to Salts to be repaired. They were returned to me loose in an evelope, as a result of which both were scratched, the lighter one of more sentimental value being scratched to such a degree, that no longer do I want to use it! I rang Salts, and spoke to a Mr Henry, who admitted, quite insincerely, that he was at fault. He was quite shameless, and intransigent in his refusal to make any reparation to the lighter. I returned the lighter to him, along with graphic photographs illustrating how the damage had been caused in transit, by his stupidly careless packing. He proved quite indifferent, and sent the lighter, and photographs back without any comment. Since then the other lighter that he repaired has become faulty. Thus not only has this indifferent individual damaged my lighters, but he has also proved inept, and incapable as regards the repairing of them! Altogether, I found the company of Salts to be a shabby enterprise, and an unpleasant experience.
GREAT SERVICE CENTRE FOR LIGHTERS
