The cross is a lovely place to have a drink and relax, however the food is a little hit and miss. We had a sunday lunch and it was pretty revolting. The potatoes were obviouly re-heated and the gravy tasted more like tomato soup, all thown together with a root puree which was more like baby food! BAD! The beef was lovely though as was the desert. All in all overated and very expensive
It's not a pub! It's a cross between a gastro pub and a restaurant. And it's quite good. Thai chicken is good, wine is not bad, steak is pretty good, and they actually have things on the menu that they run out of which to me indicates a good restaurant, because they have specials which are actually fresh. A good place for lunchtimes too.
A delight to dine at. The food is delivered straight from a kitchen in full view via a broad window that shows a well run and clean prepration area. Delicious menu and helpings sufficient for most appetites. Atmosphere relaxed and jovial. Should be a regular date in most peoples diaries, but book a week or so ahead because it fills quickly.
The best Restaurant in Warwickshire. The food and atmosphere is suberb and everyone should try it.
